Hear ye, hear ye! 

In the final closing days of this campaign, we are adding a Kickstarter exclusive! EVERY cat will come with a clipping so you can put and create your own ickle cactus kitteh in a pot! 

Each person who adopts a Cactus Cat will get their Prickles customized with spines, hand-inserted into the cat to give them their prickly exterior (these are made from translucent elastic, so they give the illusion of the spines, but don't spoil your Cat's cuddliness!) Thanks to Laura Young, prop-maker and artist, extraordinaire for working out the way to make your Cactus Cat even more authentic!

AND you'll get a clipping kit: a cactus kitty clipping, a 4" pot, some stuffing, and some magical fertilized dirt to create your own herbology lab. 

 This amazing idea is that of Jennifer Klettke, who played Herbology Professor Cynthia Springer in 2016 and 2017. We are so grateful for her and her creativity!

Bonus for Backers! Prickles at DexCon!

The campaign is going strong and it looks like we will make our goal if we keep up the momentum! 

If we hit $7,500, the Dean and Wyn Diego will make and distribute a video showing their favorite recipe for catsap (fresh, non-alcoholic and fermented (alcoholic) varieties. 

If we hit $9,000, as a bonus for all backers at the basic cat level and above ($25+), we will include a FREE print of Prickles with their cousins, Spiny, Spike, and Thorn, as well as new, never-before-seen cactus cat lore -- exclusive to Kickstarter Backers! 

If we reach our funding goal of $10,750, all backers at the basic cat level and above ($25+) will receive a FREE bonus bandana for their cat to wear around their neck (or for you to wear yourself!). One of these fun designs below!

 Also, Prickles will be traveling to DexCon in Morristown, NJ next week! Look for them at the NWM events: House Rivalry Board Game and A Wolf by Any Other Name larp. Take a photo with Prickles and post the hashtag #wheresprickles to help the campaign!

We want to thank all of our backers who are as excited about making a cryptid come to life as we are! We hope you will think about who outside of the NWM community might be interested in a Cactus Cat? Plushie lovers? Cryptid enthusiasts? Cute-o-philes? 

College Students! Who doesn't want a cool cryptid to be your study buddy or drinking buddy!?

Children! This parabotanical cutie will hug you and protect you, and provide hours of snuggling and dress up time! Just look how adorable these cats are, all dressed up for a Wizard ball! 

Adults! It's a cat that gives you the perfect excuse for why the tequila is always gone! Of course your cactus cat got at it!  Our resident Cactus Cat, Pokey, took one look at Prickles and got themselves a glamour shot: 

 Currently, Prickles and Pokey are seeing a lot of each other, and clearly there will be more cactus kittens in the future. Will you take one home with you?

This is a shout-out to our early backers -- the 40 of you who supported the campaign in the first 12 hours! You rock!

Statistically, successful campaigns get around 25%-30% of their goal in the first 24 hours of the campaign. We are half-way there at the half-way point! So things are looking good!

We really hope to bring this plushie to reality ... and to do a line of Magimundi Mates cryptids and creatures. 

If this campaign is successful, we will work on cryptid #2, shown below. 

Please encourage your friends to learn about this campaign and to back early -- hitting that 30% milestone helps get us noticed by Kickstarter (and maybe get picked as a *Project We Love* which gets us featured in Kickstarter newsletters and home pages) and other crowdsourcing watchers. And remember, shares of a Facebook post and Twitter count towards Stretch Goals on the campaign!
